Despite the Odds

 

I can taste your kiss that lingers on my lips
with no regard to when the last one was.
I can smell your sensual cologne
Despite the miles that lie between us.
I can see your eyes illuminate my own
With no regard to the months we go without.
I can feel the love you show
Despite the odds we face
     Despite the way we live
          Despite the world exists.
Distance is a matter of perception.

Boundaries-
We have none.
Limits-
We could never find.
Laws-
We inevitably break
Together-
we defy it all.
