blackout

I just read an excerpt from this book all about how in Buddhism they teach you to live in the now. "If you are eating, eat. If you are loving, love." I think the world we live in forgets to live in the now in some ways. We are so wrapped up with technology (as I write to you on my computer with my phone next to me) that we follow our buzzers, our rings and our calls to the end of oblivion. I think really soon
I am going to unchain myself from technology. One of these days I am going to stop talking about doing it and do it. It would be such a challenge. I am one of the many addicted to the internet but I think there is something beautiful about the world that I am missing and I see everyone around me missing it too. We forget to watch the sunset, we forget to talk TO each other and respond to each other without jumping at a vibrating phone. We forget to question each other and ponder together. Now we just google all the answers (again something I am awful about doing). We forget to live. I want to live again.
