Hello My name is Ashley and I have a problem
http://venspired.com/
Hello, My name is Ashley and I am a learner. I have been for 7345 days now or at least that was when I was officially a learner and joined Kindergarten. But if you really think about it, you are a learner the day you were born (and if you really wanted to do the math, you could probably figure out how many days longer that was.) This started out like AA and turned into thinking. I love the power of creativity.
I have always been a learner but up until recently a lot of my learning came through with writing. It was almost like my secret way to find out what I was really thinking. Lately, it seems that I am so caught up in the education of others (and possibly the formal education of my self) I stopped thinking about thinking (metacognition) and I stopped writing.
It is like I lost that creative gene that was growing like a blossoming plant. I starved it. It died. But I am ready to start over with a garden full of written flowers in hopes that eventually I will have that beauty back.
Think for a moment: How many people do you know that recognize that they are constantly learning? Sometimes, I forget that I even am. We get so caught up in the moment, in the day, in our lives that we forget to reflect on our day.
So that's what I am going to try to do. As I keep saying I am going to try to do. I want to grow, I want to reflect, I want to remember. I want to write.
So what did I learn today? I remembered how much I miss wriitng. I remembered my dreams of becoming an author, my dreams of changing the world, my dreams of helping my students through my written work. I found a website online that I enjoy and will probably comment on a lot in this site called Venspired. She is my inspiration and when I grow up, the kind of person I want to be. Her pictures are beautiful and they speak to the heart. And that is what it is all about. Remembering, writing. Making a difference. So I am going to try to do that again. In my own way.
